School History

Kashmere Gardens Elementary School has proudly served the Houston community since its founding in 1949. Located in the heart of the historic Kashmere Gardens neighborhood, the school was established to provide quality education to a growing community rooted in resilience and strong family values. Over the decades, it has remained a pillar of academic excellence and community pride.

In 2003, Kashmere Gardens Elementary was nationally recognized as a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School, a testament to its dedication to student achievement. Today, the school continues to serve Pre-K through 5th grade, focusing on building strong academic foundations, nurturing student growth, and preparing scholars for lifelong success.
